THIS LIME GARLIC CHICKEN WITH CORN IS A MEAL THAT SATISFIES

LIME GARLIC CHICKEN & CORN ON THE COBB

Whenever I serve this Lime Garlic Broiled Chicken with Corn on the Cobb, my guests cannot believe that they enjoy a salt-free meal.  This dish is easy to make and has a maximum cooking time of 30 minutes.  Between the chicken and the corn, total amount of sodium consumed in less than 70 milligrams.

Ingredients:

  • Family pack of chicken wings
  • 2  12 ounce bottles of Mrs. Dash Garlic Lime salt-Free Marinade
  • 2 to 3 jalapeno peppers (Depending upon the amount of heat that you desire)
  • Olive oil

Estimated cooking time – 40 minutes

Preparation:

Place chicken wings in a large plastic container.  Pour Mrs. Dash Garlic Lime Salt-Free Marinade over the chicken until it’s completely covered.  Finely chop jalapeno peppers with a knife or your food processor.  Pour the chopped jalapenos on the chicken. and use two spoons to mix the jalapenos into the marinade.  Cover and refrigerate overnight.  Pre-heat the broiler.  Lightly cover the bottom of a pan with olive oil.  Place the chicken in the pan, and use a spoon the pour the marinade over the chicken and broil until brown.  Use a fork to turnover the chicken and broil until brown.  Remover from broiler when chicken in done and let cool for five minutes, then serve.

For Corn on the Cobb:

Fill a large pot about 3/4 full of water and bring to a boil. Stir in one tablespoon of sugar dissolving the sugar. Gently place ears of corn into boiling water, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let the corn cook in the hot water until tender, about 10 minutes.  Remove corn from the pot. and rub with unsalted butter.
